課程概述 |
English Oral Training I (2) is the second course of the year-long course that aims to enhance students’ communication skills in the English language. This semester, this course focuses on developing students’ speaking fluency on a wide range of topics/ issues. Specifically, through discussions of current or cultural issues, this course prepares students to be analytical speakers and thinkers. Students will learn to be effective presenters through team-led demonstration and individual-led discussions. Students will also engage in interactive speech and group role-play. Accuracy is also emphasized whenever a teaching moment arises. |

課程目標 |
The course aims to acquaint students with process and principles of different kinds of discussions. By the end of the course, students will be able to (1) employ effective discussion principles in a given setting; (2) develop practical discussion strategies on a certain topic; (3) lead and participate in classroom discussions; (4) give and discuss their opinions on current issues, and (5) express themselves assertively and confidently in their academic/professional communities.
